JOB TITLE - Set-Up Operator Die Setter Extrusion Department PAY RATE - $18.
50/hr LOCATION:
Dillsburg/ Dover/ Wellsville, PA Area SHIFT:
3rd Shift- 7PM-7AM Rotating Schedule 4 days one week, w/ weekend off; Three days 2nd week, working weekend.
Every other weekend off! Schedule is completed for entire year.
Potential for OT on Fridays, as required.

POSITION
Summary:
The Die Setter will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Prepares and sets up tooling from extrusion schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsibilities:
(Includes but not limited to the following)- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ensures enough dies are in the ovens at each press based upon production schedule.
Recycles failed dies quickly.
Places dies in caustic solution to clean them of aluminum residue.
Polishes dies as needed.
Regularly checks all equipment and make sure it is being maintained in good safe working order.
Informs Foreman or Lead Person immediately of any problems or potential problem.
Completes any other necessary paperwork or documentation.
Performs inspection and maintains quality standards.
Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area including general housekeeping of the work area upon and or other areas, as applicable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS,
Experience:
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and several years of die correction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other:
Must possess a valid Forklift Operator's license and have prior forklift experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee is required to work a scheduled 12-hour shift The employee will be regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee will frequently lift and or move up to 50lbs; Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs; occasionally lift and or move up to 100lbs.
The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a work environment in which characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts or machines, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud requiring the use of hearing protection.
